Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
You’ve likely heard of Glenwood Caverns if you’re planning a trip to Glenwood Springs. If you haven’t, you can’t miss those bright orange gondolas that dangle in the sky above the city. At the top of Iron Mountain, there is an extravaganza of good times to be had. Of course, the kids will probably want to ride the Alpine Coaster a million times, but take the time to get the family on a cave tour. That’s the real foundation of the adventure park. Believe it or not – that used to be the only attraction. The cave formations are spectacular and you might just learn a few fun facts!
Get some grub!
If you’re hungry after a day of adventure, not to fear! Literally, just around the corner from our shop you’ll find some of the tastiest restaurants in town. Those looking for a thick, juicy steak will love Juicy Luicy’s Steakhouse, a local favorite. Stop by the Glenwood Canyon Brew Pub for infamous Colorado microbrews and a tasty meal that won’t break the bank. If you’re a real food with an eclectic taste, stop by the Pullman, voted one of Esquire magazine’s best restaurants of 2011. If you want to pack in a good meal first thing in the morning, check out Rosie’s Bavarian. It’s close to downtown and their breakfast pastries will change your life.
Glenwood Springs Whitewater Park
For a real adrenaline rush, the Whitewater Park is a must. Bring your kayak, SUP or surfboard to town, and you’re sure to make pals with visitors and locals that frequent this West Glenwood attraction. If you’re not ready to rock the wave just yet, it’s almost as fun to be an observer. Pack a quick picnic and watch these river rats give it their best shot. Check out some of the action on the Glenwood Springs Whitewater Park website. As a quick tip, parking can be a bit tricky, so prepare to park in a surrounding lot and walk over or ride your bike.
