The one hour Horseback ride Adventure
In this Adventure, you will be able to see some of the most beautiful views that Colorado has to offer. It is a great ride for beginners or those looking for a more leisurely-paced horseback ride. As you travel through ranch roads, single-track trails, and grassy fields, you’ll get to take in all the beauty that Glenwood Canyon has to offer.
The Duration Of the Ride
The one-hour horseback ride is approximately 60 minutes of riding time, with another 15 minutes included for saddling and briefing at Bair Ranch in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This Adventure is open to riders ages seven years old and up. A parent or guardian must accompany all riders under 18.
The Location Of The Ride
Our Glenwood Springs, Colorado adventures are located at Bair Ranch in Glenwood Canyon. Located approximately midway between Aspen and Vail, our ranch is easily accessible from any significant ski areas in Colorado or I-70.
What You Will Need To Bring
We provide the horses, tack, and helmets for your safety. You need to bring your sense of Adventure, appropriate clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Cameras are always a good idea, too!
2 HOUR HORSEBACK RIDE IN GLENWOOD CANYON
In this Adventure, you’ll get to ride through the beautiful Glenwood Canyon and enjoy spectacular views of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
Start by meeting your guide at the stables, where you’ll fit a horse that best suits your experience level and skills. Your friendly wrangler will provide all the necessary instructions to get comfortable in the saddle before heading out for your ride.
The Duration Of the Ride:
This Adventure runs for two hours and is suitable for kids as young as seven years old. While the trail may be a little bumpy, it’s easy enough to handle if you’re an inexperienced rider. However, we do not recommend this tour for pregnant women or those with mobility issues.
The Ride Itself:
You’ll begin your ride by ascending a hill, giving you beautiful views of the Colorado River as it winds its way through Glenwood Canyon. As you cross a natural mesa meadow, keep an eye out for wildlife and take in the fantastic panoramas of the surrounding mountains and canyons.
After leaving the meadow, you continue to ascend until you reach the top of the ridge. It is where you’ll be able to take in stunning views of the valleys and towering rock walls of Glenwood Canyon. After a few minutes at the summit, it’s time to head back down and enjoy a peaceful ride through the aspen groves and cedar forests.
No experience is necessary for this Adventure – we’ll do our best to pair you with a horse that suits your ability. Suitable for children as young as seven, this is an excellent opportunity for the whole family to explore some of Colorado’s most spectacular scenery on horseback!
